Our Accomplishments
| Although the Foundation is relatively new, it has already achieved notable milestones:
- In the last three years, provided a “summer camp” outdoor learning experience to nearly 200 young people and adults from all over the U.S.
- Provides two college scholarships per year for students to study conservation or wildlife management.
- Partnering with Montana State University, initiated a nine-station computerized program that teaches students to monitor water quality in the Jack Creek basin.
- Built a 3-D archery range used by Preserve visitors.
- Developed a roster of volunteers from the community and conservation organizations that helps with the summer camp and other programs.
- Initiated an innovative weed-spraying and bio-treatment program to benefit the Preserve and the surrounding Wilderness Area.
- Provides bow-hunting opportunities to young people and wounded U.S. vets who served in Afghanistan and Iraq.
- Makes two cabins in the heart of the Preserve available to eligible families for overnight stays.
